Week One: Saturday, March15th 2008

All in all it has been a good week. I am down to 201 lbs, an astounding 8 lbs in one week! I feel like I am on The Biggest Loser! I have stayed away from my biggest vice: any kind of sugary goodness. I have stayed to the goal, of low carbs and no sugar. With the exception of going out to eat with Brooke at Cafe Rio. I am sure my Pork Quesadilla had many carbs. It is hardest to be good at my work. They have candy & treats on a daily basis. Also every thursday, they serve breakfast of donuts and bagels. I stayed away, and it was hard. One thing that I am doing is wearing a rubberband around my wrist, whenever I have a craving & want to munch, I pull the rubberband, and flick my wrist. It helps to get my mind off my craving. Oh, the pain :). Even though I plan to keep to it next week, I am sure that my weight loss will level off a little next week. But I will keep going. I haven't excersized at all yet, but I will start. I know that I can't keep going at this rate without it. I also am obsessed about weighing myself. I know I do it too often. Usually more than once a day. I know that I need to slow down. Does anyone have any advice on any weight loss supplements? Since I am breast feeding, I have to be picky, but I wouldn't mind advice for when the baby is off the boobie.

Go Jamie GO! 8 pounds! I think this is a fantastic idea, From your e-mail, and your warnings of shock and horror I was half expecting to see nude pictures or something! You are your own worst critic I guess. I want to see a pic of your goal weight. Also I want to do a plug on my blog about yours, if you don't mind. Good luck! I am excited to see your progress.

this is awesome Jamie, i am very proud of your commitment. One gross thing i do for "suppliment" is drink 1TBL of apple cider vinigar deluted in a 1/4 cup of water, and shoot it. do this after meals or at least in the morning and then again at night. this would bennifit baby as well. it absorbs carbs by half! and is VERY nutrisiouse. a yummier thing to do is drink Green tea health drinks, this has the same effect as vinager, but it tast great, plus has the added benifit of caffien free energy, on the down side, its expensive.

Jamie this is your cousin, Esther (Pincock). This blog is such a great idea! Way to go for getting it out there - I think making it public is a great idea, puts the pressure on, makes you accountable...

At least while you're nursing you're burning lots of calories! I lost most of my baby weight pretty quickly from nursing and going out on walks... then all of a sudden I was nursing a little less and walking a lot less... and gaining weight! Ugh! Your progress can help motivate others like me!

Way to go!
